Professional biography

Lauren Minco is the author and essay writer. Her recent book Angels of Consciousness won the James Joyce Literature Award. Her first collection of poetry, Summer Thunderstorm, won Shelly Memorial Prize. Minco’s poems can be found in many anthologies, including Revolutionary Voices and Forbidden Passages. She has received Provincetown Fine Arts Center Fellowship, Pen Center Emerging Voices Fellowship and Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy. Lauren Minco is also the co-editor of The FPA Collection of Twenty-First-Century French Poetry and the translator of the following books from French: Joe Bousquet’s “Traduit du silence”, Tristan Corbiere’s “Mélange adultere de tout” and Nicolas Rapin’s “La Puce de Ma Dame des Roches; La Douche”. Her translations have received many awards, including John Glassco Translation Prize, The Gregory Kolovakos Award, CWA International Dagger Award and Bastian Prize.
